My Story and Services
David has over 17 years of experience in financial markets, in New York, London, and Sydney.
Most recently, for the eight years prior to joining Morgan Stanley, David was a senior member of Magellan Financial Group’s investment team where he focused on finding undervalued technology companies in which to invest. In this role he dealt personally with the likes of Meta CEO (Mark Zuckerberg), Apple CFO (Luca Maestri), and other industry leaders on multiple occasions. At Magellan, David’s focus was on both protecting clients’ capital but importantly also on growing this capital, which is relevant to his role at Morgan Stanley as a private wealth adviser.
David completed an MBA at Columbia University in New York where he focused on value investing and prior to that he worked at Macquarie Bank, in Sydney and New York, where he worked with New York hedge funds to identify mispriced companies. David is also a qualified chartered accountant.
David combines his vast investing experience with Morgan Stanley’s industry leading wealth management platform to achieve strong results for his clients. His technical expertise enables him to identify the optimal investments Morgan Stanley has available for his clients, taking into consideration his clients’ unique goals and levels of risk tolerance.

Experience
David commenced his career in finance in 2006 when he joined Macquarie Bank in Sydney on the derivatives trading floor. In this role he focused on assisting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and small hedge funds manage risk through the implementation of derivative strategies. He subsequently moved into institutional equities, based in New York, where he managed relationships with some of the globe's leading mutual funds and hedge funds.
David left Macquarie Group in 2012 to complete an MBA at Columbia University in New York, after which he agreed to join Magellan Financial Group and help build its New York office. At Magellan, David was an investment analyst focusing on identifying undervalued technology companies and dealt personally with the likes of Mark Zuckerberg (META CEO), Luca Maestri (Apple CFO), and other industry leaders on multiple occasions.
David was a voting member on the Magellan Core fund investment committee and is also a qualified chartered accountant.
