Wealth Management
At Morgan Stanley, we see true wealth management as so much more than just portfolio management.
We see it as the combination of:
• strategic planning
• asset and investment consulting
• project management

Strategic planning
Most of our clients initially come to us to address the question – will my financial resources enable me to live the life I want to live?
Our strategic planning process commences with first obtaining an intimate understanding of your existing financial position, what you’re trying to achieve and by when.
With this information we’re able to help you develop a personalised strategic plan which is designed to achieve your lifestyle and financial objectives within your desired time frame.

Asset and investment consulting
We help our clients think differently about investment. We reduce the noise of the media and focus on what really matters.
The foundation of our investment approach is based on decades of academic research on the optimal way to build investment portfolios, which has a compelling track record of success.
We adhere to a strict portfolio construction methodology which is founded on a deep understanding of your needs, emphasises the importance of asset allocation, incorporates insight from a broad range of sources, both proprietary and external and focuses on the importance of risk management.
Our asset consulting service will address the four pillars to portfolio construction detailed below, enabling us to tailor an investment strategy to your individual needs and objectives:
• Required Return – the rate of return required to achieve your financial and lifestyle objectives.
• Risk tolerance – your willingness and capacity (ie financial position) to accept investment risk.
• Risk requirement – your need to take on risk i.e. balance taking on unnecessary risk vs. avoiding falling short of wealth.
• Investment horizon – sequencing risk (i.e. the impact of volatility on the value of your investment) and the number of years you’re investing for.

Project management
We often find that our clients have several professionals in their lives across various disciplines (tax, legal, banking, investment and real estate). Unfortunately, we rarely find these professionals working collaboratively for the achievement of a client’s lifestyle and financial objectives. As a result, clients find themselves receiving conflicting advice and stuck managing multiple relationships which is both inefficient and time consuming.
For many of our clients we assume the role of lead adviser, helping set the strategic plan then managing and coordinating the other professionals in their lives to deliver a collaborative and integrated wealth management solution.
